My first memory of Noyes Stadium was my Mom taking us kids during winter to slide down the walking ramps on mats on the ice; to flying kites on the field; to playing football with the neighborhood kids; to walking or trying to run around the tract made of rocks; to being a cheerleader for both Crockett and Paris High; to getting to throw footballs in the stands when we scored; to walking in front of all the Wildcat fans when I was Homecoming Nominee; to singing our last song together on the stage at my 1986 Graduation with all of the Senior Choir Members and all of us gathered on the field to throw our hats up in the air! It is sad to see that no more Wildcat football games will be played there, but I am looking forward to seeing the future stadium and possibly watching my nephew/niece or future nephew/niece either playing on the field; cheering the team on; dancing with the Blazettes or playing in the famous Blue Blazes Band! Go Wildcats!

1946
The first time I attended a football game I was 8 yrs. old. Ward Cox, our next door neighbor, took his son Kenneth and me to a PHS game. When the players went into the huddle, I asked, "Mr. Cox, are they telling secrets?" Mr. Cox and my Mother loved to tell that story over and over. I have wonderful memories of marching in the PHS band during my high school years.

1969
I remember attending many games at Noyes Stadium on Friday nights while attending East Paris Elementary. All of the stands were full of students. As we entered Crockett Jr. High, I was fortunate to be a memeber of the Crockett Volunteer football team. I was introduced to some great coaches in Olen Jordan and J.T. Davis, not to mention so many great athletes. When I entered PHS in the fall of '66, I became a member of the PHS Wildcat managers crew. We were introduced to more great athletes from Travis Junior High school and some very good coaches like Philip Nance, Larry Click, Gerald Jack and Johnny Crawford. We had very good success in the 1967 season under Philip Nance playing teams like Richardson Eagles, South Garland, Sherman and Denison. The next year we were very successful only being defeated once in th e year. I made some very good friends while at PHS and attending games at Noyes Stadium. I now have been attending games at Noyes Stadium watching my 16 year old son play football for the Wildcats. Noyes Stadium has been very much a part of my life as child, teenager and adult living in Paris. This great stadium, which has seen many great athletes, band members and Blazettes perform on Friday Nights, will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Thank you Noyes Stadium for the Friday Night Lights.

Class of 1974
The first date I had with my wife, Donie, was to a Blue Raider football game at Noyes Stadium.

On Friday nights, Norman Davis served up the chili pies on the Student/Visitor side. Fresh grated cheese and fresh chopped onion. They don't make them like they used to.

Buddy Kammer.....the biggest Wildcat fan of all time. He took a gun away from a guy one night. Back in the day, he was about the only parent that sat on the Student side. God bless Buddy Kammer.

1972
I will never forget Homecoming. I got to sit on the field with my Dad, Glenn Hobbs, and walk in the middle of the field with him and be crowned 1972 Homecoming Queen. I was a cheerleader all through PHS and cheering at all the games in Noyes Stadium also brings back alot of great memories. What GREAT memories I have of Noyes Stadium!!!

l942-1946
we always had such a large turnout at our football games. some of our guys played five years instead of just four-which you could do in those days. I had the honor of being football queen with a good friend dorothy lee pierman. she has passed away in california this past year. Thomas Justiss was our principal who was one of the most understanding and helpful person. I will always remember his kindness. Mary Wilson was a very sweet teacher in English. Those days will always be in my memories and all the fritos pies I help to make and sell at the stadium when my four children attended Paris High School.

Class of '72
Random memories from Fall, 1972..... Being in the huddle and having to ask the other players how much time was on the clock (no contact lenses until the next spring); laughing (again in a huddle) at an offensive guard yelling at a tackle to quit purposely dripping blood from his nose on the guard's new game shoes; laughing as the game officials tried to figure out how the opposing ball carrier was unable to score on a long, breakaway run, with the knowledge that it was our running back who had come off the bench to make the tackle (the officials finally figured it out); skipping afternoon classes our senior year to go play touch football at Noyes; hearing, "We're from Paris, couldn't be prouder..." from the stands; teammates, coaches, the camaraderie, the esprit de corps; great, great memories, life-long fri endships.

My memories of Noyes Stadium was playing football in High School and the games that were played there. Not only the games in high school, but also the games that were considered to be the first rivalry created. This was between West vs East or better known as Travis Jr. High vs Crockett Jr. High which were played at Noyes. I went to school at Travis & I think we were even in the win category. Those memories will never be forgotten.

2001
I spend many a Friday night in the 90's at Noyes Stadium. I remember being little and watching the Blazettes and wanting more than anything to be one of them. I was a Crockett and Travis cheerleader, and starting in the 9th grade, a Blazette! I was so excited to get to perform on that field every week. I remember Homecoming when then Governor Bush did our coin toss. It was on Saturday afternoon, we beat the opponent 63-0, and the previous week, we beat W.T. White 81-0. I remember my Senior game in 2000. It was a rainy one. I look forward to moving into the new stadium, but Noyes will always hold a special place in my heart! Let's go Wildcats!!!
